The Untold Story of the Football League

The Untold Story of the Football League For many people, it’s hard to imagine life without football. It’s played in most countries around the world and has been around since the mid-1800s when it was invented at the university of Cambridge in England. But what you may not know is that the modern game we see today started out as an indoor sport that didn’t allow players to touch the ball with their hands or kick it with their feet! This article explores that and much more about the history of football, including how it’s changed over time and the events that shaped its evolution from simple beginnings to what we know today. This article explores that and much more about the history of football, including how it’s changed over time and the events that shaped its evolution from simple beginnings to what we know today. Introduction: When would you say you started supporting your team? Section 1: What are your earliest memories of watching football? Section 2: Who was your childhood hero? Section 3: Do you have any stories about following your team away from home? Section 4: Who is your favourite player, past or present? Section 5: Where would you rank them among the best players ever? Section 6: Finally, what advice would you give to new fans, and old ones who want a fresh perspective on their club? Section 2: Who was your childhood hero? For example, Stephen Curry or Michael Jordan. What did you like about your hero? Was it their game or style? Did they play on a team you liked? How were they different from other heroes and why? Explain how that hero affected your life today: I was always inspired by MJ because he was so competitive and determined to win at all costs. He played in a time when basketball wasn’t as popular as football but he still made his mark in history with 6 championships. When I was younger, I didn’t think about what he had done for me because I was just watching him for entertainment purposes but as I got older and started playing basketball myself, I started to appreciate his skill level more than anything else. It’s crazy to think that someone who is so much better than everyone else can still be humble enough to be friends with those around him instead of being arrogant or cocky which is what most people would do if they were in his position. That’s one thing I love about him, he always remained humble and gracious even though he had accomplished so much already. In fact, that is something I try to emulate everyday when dealing with my peers. Because of him, now there are way more African Americans who are getting into sports now especially Basketball and Football where before no one cared about them as much. So yes even though he might not have been directly involved in it personally, he did indirectly help a lot of young black kids get into sports including myself where we may not have been interested otherwise due to negative stereotypes regarding our race. Nowadays, every kid who plays basketball wants to be like Lebron James or Steph Curry and that wouldn’t have happened without Michael Jordan paving the way first. #michaeljordan #basketball #football - Title: The Untold Story of Football League Section 4: Who is your favourite player, past or present? I have many. Lionel Messi is my favourite footballer in history. Most recently, I would say that Eden Hazard, Paul Pogba and Mohamed Salah are all amazing players. I love watching Hazard’s playstyle, because he can dribble past anybody and beat them with skill or pace; Pogba’s ability to dictate games as a midfielder; and Salah’s goal-scoring record. The records these players are breaking every year are just insane, yet they still manage to keep it fun and enjoyable for us viewers. These three (and others) are in their early 20s too! It’s crazy how much they have achieved at such a young age but they still manage to be humble about it. Section 1: What are your earliest memories of watching football? Section 5: Where would you rank them among the best players ever? In an interview with FourFourTwo magazine, former Chelsea midfielder Deco said he believed Iniesta is better than himself, Ronaldinho and Paul Scholes. He was then asked where he would rank Iniesta among other greats in football history and replied: In my opinion, he is one of a kind. He is more complete than Zidane in terms of passing and defensive ability. More complete than Beckham in terms of crossing from open play. More complete than Xavi at creating chances for others. Section 6: Finally, what advice would you give to new fans, and old ones who want a fresh perspective on their club? When people ask me about how to get into football, or even what team I support, I always tell them that it’s all about your experience. I started following Arsenal because my mom had a crush on someone who was an Arsenal fan. Of course that didn’t work out (he turned out to be a dickhead) but she passed down her love for Arsenal to me, and now whenever I watch them play it’s like watching a movie—and without fail, they always win! It’s also one of those rare moments when you can truly escape from reality. No matter what’s going on in your life, when you walk into a stadium you leave it all behind; there is nothing more cathartic than screaming at 90 decibels with 60,000 other fans after Olivier Giroud scores another beautiful goal. So don’t worry too much about finding your team just yet—you have plenty of time to decide once you know more about football. But if you want some advice, try taking these steps: Assemble a diverse group of friends who are interested in football. A friend will help keep you accountable as well as provide insight into different clubs and players. And when you do eventually find your club, your friend will probably join you anyway! Watch as many games as possible. You don’t have to know what’s going on—in fact, it’s better if you don’t. Just soak up all that energy from 60,000 people screaming at 90 decibels for 90 minutes straight (it’s impossible not to get pumped up). Go to a match: This is where I fell in love with Arsenal; I went with my mom and we had an amazing time. There’s nothing like watching a game live and being surrounded by other fans—it’s an experience unlike any other. Talk to others about their teams: Don’t be afraid to ask questions or admit that you don't know something. There's no such thing as a stupid question, especially if you're just starting out; everyone was new once upon a time. If someone gives you shit for asking something dumb, they're probably just bitter because they got embarrassed by their own ignorance. In short, try everything! Find a team you enjoy playing as much as Man U, but also consider supporting smaller teams. The smaller fanbases usually go through more dramatic ups and downs so there's even more entertainment value in following them; plus there is always that feeling of bonding with others over shared experiences. Finally, try exploring foreign leagues too - i've learned so much about football simply by watching Ligue 1 games because I never knew how good/how bad PSG were until I watched them play (spoiler alert: they're really really good) !!! So pick a league whose rules make sense to you, then set yourself up with some cheap online subscriptions and enjoy the ride. Introduction: When would you say you started supporting your team?
